THE undercliff has been closed over fears erosion is causing a "hazardous environment".
Brighton and Hove City Council has closed access to the undercliff following an inspection of the site.
The public are being urged not to access the area while the situation continues to be monitored.

Writing on Twitter, a spokesman said: "We have closed access to the undercliff as we know some cliff erosion is causing a hazardous environment.
"The site has been inspected and we will continue to monitor the affected areas but please don't try to access them in the meantime.
"If there is an emergency, please call 999 immediately and ask for the coastguard."
