SUSSEX Police are offering a £1,000 reward for anyone who can help them catch a wanted man who has been at large for months.

Zak Marsden failed to appear at court to face an assault charge on December 3 and has not been seen by the force since.

It is believed the 32-year-old is in Brighton and Hove.

Marsden was due to appear in court to face a charge of assaulting a woman who was known to him at an address in the city.

After failing to appear at court in December, several windows at the address were deliberately smashed the following month.

Sussex Police first issued an appeal for information on his whereabouts on December 22. But, with Marsden still not found, an updated wanted appeal was launched earlier this month, offering a reward of £500 to anyone who could help police track him down.

A third appeal was issued this week, with the reward raised to £1,000.

Marsden is white, 5ft 6in tall and of a large build, with blue eyes, a shaved head and a tattoo on his neck.

He has links to both the Brighton and Hastings areas, investigating officers say.

During the search for Marsden, three people, two men both aged 30, from Newhaven and Hove, and a woman aged 26 from Hastings, have been arrested on suspicion of aiding an offender.

After being interviewed they have been released on police bail while enquiries continue.

Detective Sergeant Jack Sagar of the Brighton Safeguarding Investigations Unit said; "We have offered the reward for information that leads to Marsden's arrest and conviction.

"Anyone who assists an offender to evade justice also commits an offence themselves.

"If you have information which you think could help us find him, please call 101 quoting 650 of 08/09.

"But if you see him, do not approach him but dial 999 immediately.
