SEVEN people have died in Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust in the last 24 hours, it has been revealed.
NHS England figures show 414 people had died in hospital as of 5pm on Tuesday.
That was an increase of seven compared to Monday, when there were 407.
It means there have been 21 deaths in the past week, down from 36 the previous week.
The victims were among 10,349 deaths recorded across the South East.
In East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust, the number of coronavirus deaths passed 600.

Figures show 612 people had died in hospital, an increase of 17 compared to Monday, when there were 595.
It means there have been 46 deaths in the past week, down from 51 the previous week.
Elsewhere at Western Sussex Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, six new coronavirus deaths were recorded.
NHS England figures show 425 people had died in hospital as of 5pm on Tuesday.
That was an increase of six compared to Monday, when there were 419.
It means there have been 32 deaths in the past week, down from 56 the previous week.
The victims were among 10,349 deaths recorded across the South East.
Daily death counts are revised each day, with each case backdated to the actual date of death.
This means some of the deaths that were first recorded in the latest period may actually have taken place days earlier.
