CARE home residents have thanked supermarket staff after they started sending regular deliveries of flowers during the coronavirus pandemic.
Morrison’s in Lottbridge Drive, Eastbourne first started delivering the gifts in the hope they would cheer up residents and staff at Mortian Place care home in Eastbourne.
Karen Howell, general manager at Mortian Place care home said the flowers “look amazing around the home” and residents have enjoyed arranging the flowers.
She said: “What a lovely gift Morrison’s are giving to our residents, just to see them light up when the flowers are delivered.
“At Mortain Place we do our best to provide a wide range of activities and entertainment as part of the lifestyle enrichment programme for residents.
“Living in a care home doesn’t put a stop to celebrating life.”
