A MAN suffered severe injuries in a fall from a cliff.
Police were called to the scene in Rottingdean shortly after 2.40pm.
They were joined by paramedics and the air ambulance, which landed on the beach nearby.
It is understood the air ambulance was stood down and the man was taken to hospital by road.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "At 2.40pm yesterday, February 18, officers responded to a report of a man having fallen from a cliff top at Rottingdean.
"The man was found to have sustained severe injuries and was taken to hospital by ambulance."
