Devonshire Street, pictured in about 1935, has long since been demolished. We are told that where the policeman is standing is now the redeveloped Brighton Boys Club in Edward Street.

Mount Pleasant, Brighton, 1936

Mount Pleasant in Brighton is pictured in about 1936, before the council houses were built on the east side.

The houses on the left lasted until the 1950s.

Claremont Row, Brighton, 1932

And the old houses in Claremont Row, pictured in about 1932, were demolished and replaced by prefabs.

The street just showing at the front was Sussex Street.
