A new piece of street art in Brighton pays tribute to a true legend of the city following his death.
The painting in Trafalgar Lane shows Disco Pete wearing his signature flame outfit and appearing to wave.
Pete Turner, commonly referred to as”Brighton’s oldest raver”, passed away last Saturday aged 84.
The artist, poet, DJ and former school caretaker had been suffering with Parkinson’s disease and dementia.
He became a popular and well-known figure in Brighton and Hove due to his frequent appearances at events and festivals.
In a tribute issued following his death last weekend, his daughter Vanessa said: “Rest in peace. May you continue to dance amongst the stars.”
