Fire crews helped an ambulance service remove a patient from the 10th floor of a seafront flat yesterday.
Firefighters used an aerial ladder platform to remove the patient from the top floor of the building in Kingsway, Hove, at about 4pm.
Witnesses said an ambulance and three fire engines attended the scene.
In a post on social media last night, a spokesman for East Sussex Fire Control said: "Crews from Hove and Preston Circus assisted colleagues from the South East Coast Ambulance Service with the removal of a patient from the 10th floor (of a block of flats".
East Sussex Fire and Rescue Service have been contacted for further comment.
