Police remain on the scene in Bognor after 'serious incident'

Officers are stationed in the Shripney Road area and have taped off a nearby underpass as part of ongoing investigations.

It is believed they are responding to an incident which happened shortly before midnight.

An underpass has been blocked off after a 'serious' late night incident in Bognor

A witness said "it must have been a serious incident" as they had seen "lots of cops" in the area.

They also said that several officers "looked like they were searching for something".

Another passerby reported that police remain in Bognor this morning, eight hours after the incident.

Sussex Police have been contacted for comment.
