Scotland's Six Nations match against France has been thrown into doubt once more after the French side registered another positive Covid test.

The Stade de France showdown had been at the centre of fears for its kick-off following a Covid-19 outbreak in Les Bleus squad.

A fresh round of testing had brought about no new positive cases earlier this week. But now France Rugby have confirmed their training for the match has been suspended after one player tested positive.

A statement read: "Following the RT-PCR tests carried out on Wednesday, February 24, and the appearance of a positive test within the squad of players, the FFR medical committee met this morning and decided to suspend training today."

France’s outbreak has forced a number of their top stars into quarantine, including star scrum-half and 2020 player of the championship Antoine Dupont and captain Charles Ollivon.
