STUNNING pictures taken across Sussex show a rare Snow Moon over the county last night.
The second full moon of the year rose clear over the country, offering a great opportunity for photographers to capture stunning shots.
February’s full moon is traditionally known as the Snow Moon in the northern hemisphere.
Clear skies provided the perfect opportunity to catch sight of the event that symbolises the beginning of spring.
Pictures taken from Worthing show the natural phenomenon high over the seafront.
Other snappers captured stunning images of the moon over Sandal Castle in Wakefield, Dover Castle in Kent and London.
It appears larger when it is close to the horizon due to a mysterious optical effect known as the moon illusion.
If you caught sight of the moon across Brighton, send your pictures to connor.stringer@newsquest.co.uk.
