A SHOPLIFTER who stole hundreds of pounds worth of cosmetics has been jailed.
Lee Phillipa Danks raided the Boots store in North Street Brighton.
The 46-year-old took £858 worth of skincare products during the theft in December.
Her crimes put her in breach of a suspended sentence imposed for previous shop thefts.
Crawley Magistrates’ Court heard how previously she was convicted over stealing children’s shoes from Junior Edition in North Laine, and an electronic toothbrush from Boots.
She had been given a suspended sentence, and had also been named in court over failing to show up to her hearings, and failing to comply with community orders.
Danks, of Tisbury Road, Hove, admitted the new shop theft, and the court activated the suspended sentence.
She was jailed for 38 weeks.
