Premier Inn has included several Sussex sites among its "target locations" where it wants to open new hotels.
A total of eight spots across the county feature on the value hotel chain's lengthy list.
These are:
- Arundel
- Bognor
- Brighton city centre
- Brighton Patcham
- East Grinstead
- Hove/Shoreham
- Lewes
- Rye
Premier Inn already has more than 800 hotels across the UK, with upwards of 76,000 rooms.
This includes a site in North Street, Brighton, as well as hotels in Burgess Hill, Littlehampton, Arundel, Worthing, Lewes, Hastings, Horsham, Crawley, East Grinstead, Bognor, Eastbourne, Chichester and Newhaven.
And the hotel chain has previously stated its aim of increasing its roster.
A spokesman for Whitbread PLC, the UK's largest hotel operator which owns Premier Inn, said: "Premier Inn is expanding across the UK, the Republic of Ireland and Germany and we are on the hunt for the next generation of outstanding hotel locations."
He added: "There is no fixed format for Premier Inn, we can be very flexible for the right site. Broadly speaking we create stand-alone hotel sites, joint sites consisting of a Premier Inn hotel with adjoining branded restaurant and small-format sites.
