There will no longer be the need to order a substantial meal with an alcoholic drink, as seen in the tiered system of restrictions seen before Christmas, and there will be no curfew forcing pubs to close by a certain time.

However, customers must order, eat and drink while seated.

Wetherspoons says its sites will open between 9am and 9pm from Sunday to Thursday, and from 9am to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays.

Food will be available between 9am and 8pm, with a slightly reduced menu will be on offer. But this will still include breakfast, burgers, pizza, deli deals, fish and chips and British classics, the pub chain confirmed.

Wetherspoons will open 394 of its UK sites with visitors able to sit in beer gardens, roof top gardens and patios.

Customers will be able to order and pay through the Wetherspoons app. However, Wetherspoons staff will be taking orders and payment at the table from those who do not have the app.

Customers will be able to enter the pub to gain access to the outside area and also to use the toilet.
