A WOMAN in a car was pronounced dead after police were called to a medical incident in a seafront road.
Police responded to reports of concern for the welfare of an unresponsive woman in a vehicle in Madeira Drive, Brighton, this morning.
Officers attended shortly after 10am, but the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The force is not treating the death as suspicious.
Police were joined by representatives from HM Coroner Brighton and Hove at about 11.20am, pictures of the incident show.
Both services left the scene at about noon.
A Sussex Police said: "Just after 10am on Friday, March 5, Sussex Police attended Madeira Drive in Brighton following reports of an unresponsive woman inside a car.
"The woman was pronounced dead at the scene and next of kin have been informed. The death is not being treated as suspicious."
