PICTURES show Brighton seafront on the final weekend of full, nation-wide lockdown.

Restrictions put in place to limit the spread of coronavirus are due to be relaxed tomorrow.

Pictures from the seaside show people enjoying exercise amid the sunny weather.

Residents can be seen paddle boarding near West Pier and walking along the promenade near the newly-graffitied upside-down house.

Temperatures reached 9c today ahead of a week which will see heavy rains hit the cost from Wednesday onwards.

Tomorrow will also see the return of children and students to face-to-face lessons in schools and colleges.

All secondary school and college students will need to take three Covid-19 tests as they return to the classroom from Monday.

People will be able to leave home for recreation outdoors such as a coffee or picnic with their household or support bubble, or with one person outside their household.

Despite the relaxation of measures, the country will still be under a “stay-at-home” message.

Further relaxation of coronavirus rules is due to take place on March 29 – the week in which most schools break up for Easter.

If it does go ahead as planned people will be able to have outdoor gatherings of either six people or two households.

Outdoor sports facilities, such as tennis and basketball courts, will be allowed to reopen, and people can take part in formally organised outdoor sports.

At this point, the Stay at Home order will end, although other lockdown restrictions will remain.
