Three people were injured in a serious crash on the A280 yesterday.
Police and ambulance crews were called to the collision in Angmering at about 3.40pm.
Debris was left strewn across the carriageway in the aftermath of the incident, and the road was closed.
One person was taken to hospital with serious wounds, while two more suffered minor injuries in the collision.
A Sussex Police spokeswoman said: "Police were called to reports of a two-vehicle collision on the A280 in Angmering.
"One person was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Two other people suffered minor injuries.
"The road was temporarily closed in both directions while emergency services dealt with the matter.
"Anyone who witnessed the collision or who may have any relevant dash cam footage is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 784 of 07/03."
