A YOUTUBE star will compete in the first celebrity series of a game show tonight.

Saffron Barker joins the line-up for The Celebrity Circle, which airs on Channel 4 at 9.15pm.

The show sees contestants move into a shared apartment block where they can only communicate on an online messaging service called The Circle - which means they can mask their true identities and play as other celebrities.

The social media game show involves various group challenges, and participants rank each other along the way and compete to be voted the most popular.

The Brighton-born YouTuber, who took part in Strictly Come Dancing in 2019, will appear in The Circle as herself.

Others on the show, such as Geordie Shore star Charlotte Crosby, will play in another role, with Crosby opting to play as Peter Andre.

Denise Van Outen, Blue singer Duncan James and Loose Women panelists Kaye Adams and Nadia Sawalha are also among the contestants.

Saffron said: "Trusting someone and getting to know them, and then finding out it's not actually them - that's going to be quite gutting."
