FIREFIGHTERS were called to respond to a blaze at a property behind a row of shops this morning.

Crews were sent to Ferring Street in Ferring, Worthing on Sunday, March 14.

The fire was reported at the property behind the Co-op store and the St Barnabas House hospice charity shop.

Pictures from the scene show two fire engines were sent to tackle the flames.

West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said crews from East Preston and Worthing were sent.

The service said: “Earlier this morning our crews dealt with a fire involving a property on Ferring St in Ferring.

“Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus used two high pressure hose reels and three fire extinguishers to put the fire out.”

No one was reported hurt in the fire.
