A TEENAGER was found in possession of sickening child sex abuse images.

Ferris James, 18, admitted having 27 category A images in Brighton, a court heard.

Category A images depict some of the worst examples of sexual abuse, including child rape.

James also had 38 category B images and 242 category C images.

He appeared before Brighton Magistrates’ Court where he admitted three charges of possessing indecent images of children.

James was ordered to do 23 group sessions and three one-to-one sessions with the Horizon programme for sex offenders.

He must also complete 15 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service.

The court ordered James, of Falmer Road, Brighton, to pay a £95 surcharge and £85 costs during the hearing.

He will be on the sex offenders' register for five years and will be subject to a Sexual Harm Prevention Order for five years.

This order restricts James’s access to children under the age of 18 and access to computer devices.

James must notify police of any device he possesses and make them available for an immediate inspection.

He must not install any software capable of hiding internet searches or erasing internet history.
