SIX people have been fined for breaching Covid regulations after meeting in a hotel near Gatwick airport.
Officers from the airport's B Section also dealt with two of the people for drug offences before sending everyone home.
The force shared the incident on Twitter on Saturday, claiming to have "eyes everywhere".
You may think by meeting as a group in a hotel you can breach Covid rules but #WeHaveEyesEverywhere. B Section @Gatwick_Airport dealt with the group robustly, issuing 6 Covid fines, processed 2 for drugs offences & sent everybody involved home. #HotelWatch #ProtectOurNHS #40278 pic.twitter.com/rAEu7lRjWw

Under the current restrictions, people can only meet up with another person from a separate household in an outdoor setting.
The rule of six is set to be reintroduced next week as the country continues to embark on the Prime Minister's roadmap out of lockdown.
