Four motorcyclists were arrested and several bikes were seized as police responded to reports of a large group "riding in an antisocial manner".
The bikers were stopped on the A22 in East Sussex yesterday evening after police received calls they had been riding around the Maresfield, Uckfield, East Grinstead, Hailsham and Eastbourne areas.
Sussex Roads Police are now appealing for witnesses to come forward and provide further information on the group and their activities as they investigate the incident further.
A force spokesman said: "We are aware of a large group of motorcyclists seen riding in an anti-social manner around the A22 corridor in East Sussex today. Four riders were arrested and a number of bikes seized.
"If you have any dashcam or CCTV footage, please let us know, quoting reference number 576 28/03/21."
