It comes after Brighton and Hove City Council announced last week that it was “bracing itself” for more tourists than ever visiting the city this summer.

The plans are detailed in a document titled Covid-19 Road Map Out Of Lockdown: Managing The City Safely and Outdoor Events Programme 2021.

Yesterday was the warmest March day since March 29, 1968, according to the Met Office, after highs of 25.6 was recorded in Cambridgeshire.

St James’ Park in London saw highs of 24.2 degrees, while in Brighton the mercury reached 19 degrees.
