FOR the first time in years I had to drive through Brighton at night (9pm) and it was an experience I would not wish to repeat.

Let me tell you why.

First the street lighting is next to useless. A couple of candles would provide more light.

This lack of lighting made it more difficult to see and avoid cyclist who displayed no lights and they weave in, out and around parked traffic with complete disregard to motorists who have to brake hard to avoid them.

What are the police doing to stop this dangerous practice?

Then there were the delivery scooters who break every motoring law in the book again with complete disregard for any other road user or pedestrians.

Pavements are there for their use, how dare pedestrians block them is their motto.

Most of them seem colour blind when it comes to things called traffic lights.

So I repeat what are the police doing about it? Questions to the police commissioner who is seeking re election?
