I TOTALLY agree with Ian Steedman on his article about the repairs of the arches in Madeira Drive.
Yes, the council totally neglected the West Pier and will do the same with the arches.
The West Pier was shut down in 1975 and never reopened, the council sat on its backside and watched this old lady burn and have done nothing about replacing her.
It will be another 36 years before this council will resurrect the arches.
After all the money spent on the Valley Gardens project and these stupid waste of money cycle lanes you begin to wonder what they will spend our money on next?
Brighton Council need to get their priorities right.
