A WOMAN has been arrested on suspicion of drink-driving after a car ploughed into a home.
The car smashed into a lamp post before careering into the house in Temple Grove, Burgess Hill, at 8.20pm last night.
The driver - a 45-year-old local woman - was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and criminal damage recklessly endangering life.
The suspect was taken to hospital as a precaution and discharged. She remains in custody for questioning, Sussex Police said.
A spokeswoman for the force said: “Police responded to a road traffic collision in Temple Grove, Burgess Hill at 8.20pm on Wednesday.
“A car collided with a lamp post and subsequently crashed into the front of a house.
“No injuries were reported.
“Anyone who witnessed what happened can report online or call 101, quoting 1410 of 31/03.”
