A MAN has suffered serious burns after a fire was started “deliberately” at a home.

Sussex Police were called to reports of a “deliberate fire” at a house in Oak Grove, Bognor, at about 8.20pm last night.

One man suffered serious burns and is currently receiving treatment.

Pictures from the scene show officers cordoning off the burnt-out home with crime scene tape late last night.

A spokeswoman for the force said: “Enquiries are ongoing, and anyone who saw what happened or who has any other information is asked to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting Operation Viper.

“Alternatively, you can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers online or by calling 0800 555 111.”
