ROADS have been closed as police deal with a serious collision on the A26.

Disruption is expected for several hours as officers deal with a crash near Southease.

According to an AA traffic report, the collision is said to be between a lorry and a motorbike.

It is causing traffic problems between Lewes and Newhaven.

Brighton and Hove Buses said the BH12, BH12A and 12X services were facing delays.

A spokesman from the Sussex Police said: "We are currently dealing with a serious road traffic collision on the #A26 near #Southease.

"Road closures are in place and there is expected to be disruption for several hours.

"Thanks for your patience and understanding while this incident is ongoing."
