A THUG who attacked a woman during a row has been jailed.

Lee Shannon O’Neil assaulted Victoria Latter in Burgess Hill.

The 36-year-old destroyed a television and damaged her kitchen window during the incident.

He appeared before Crawley Magistrates’ Court where he admitted assault and criminal damage.

It was also revealed he had harassed Ms Latter to the point where she feared immediate unlawful violence.

The assault took place on March 12 this year.

Then he sent her threatening texts and voicemails and made phone calls. The crime was in breach of police bail conditions.

O’Neil was also in breach of a suspended sentence for assault in Burgess Hill, the court heard.

He was jailed for 38 weeks for the crimes, and ordered to pay Ms Latter £150 in compensation.

O’Neil, of Brighton Road, Horley, was put under restraining order until March 2024 with orders not to contact Ms Latter.
