A POPULAR fast-food chain has reopened its doors after closing for almost a day.

The Brighton Marina McDonald's restaurant was closed yesterday after a man was found in distress on the premises.

Two police cars parked outside the restaurant and passers-by said areas inside the store had been "taped off".

In a post on social media, another visitor to Brighton Marina said there were "police and ambulances all over" the site shortly after 12.30pm.

Photos taken from the restaurant today show the chain as reopened, with dozens of cars using the drive-through.

People were also sat on the benches outside the store.

A Sussex Police spokeswoman said yesterday: "Emergency services were called to McDonalds restaurant at Brighton Marina at 12.05pm on Wednesday, April 14, after a man was found in distress on the premises.

"The man was taken to hospital by ambulance."
