A CAR has been "deliberately" set on fire in a busy town.

The window of a blue Ford Fiesta parked on King Offa Way, Bexhill, was smashed shortly after 9am on Monday.

Police believe the person responsible was travelling in a vehicle that pulled up alongside before the damage was caused.

But hours later around 3.55pm, the same car was set alight and two males were seen running eastbound from the scene, towards Bexhill Old Town.

The fire is being treated as deliberate.
