WE HAVE been blessed with blue skies all week which are set to continue into the weekend. 

Summer is right around the corner and the weather is starting to pick up with blue skies and temperatures in their teens  - this weekend is definitely barbecue time. 

More than a week into stage two of the 'roadmap' out of lockdown, we're allowed to mix in groups of up to six or two households outside.

Here's what the weather will look like this weekend:

Friday, 23 April

Today, the weather forecasters expect a dry, bright and sunny day with highs of 15C.

The day will start off in the low teens and drop to single figures into the night - it will feel more like 12C around 6pm when people start to finish work and enjoy their weekend. 

Saturday, 24 April

We can expect another bright and sunny day as we kick off the weekend with Saturday looking fairly similar to Friday.

Some cloudy spells are expected into the late afternoon but the chance of rain remains extremely low. 

Saturday will see highs of 15C though it will feel more like 12C so if you're heading out remember to take a jumper.

Sunday, 25 April

The weather starts to cool by the end of the weekend with some cloudy patches as we head into the afternoon - these will pass as the day draws on to reveal a sunny and clear day.

Temperatures will be around 11C though again, this will feel slightly chillier. 

With the sun remaining bright in the sky throughout the weekend it's a great chance to get outdoors and catch up with friends, or even try out a new sport.
