STARGAZERS were treated to the biggest and brightest full moon of the year so far last night as April's Pink Moon lit up the skies.
Argus Camera Club members were quick to snap incredible images of the supermoon as it rose last night and peaked in the early hours of the morning.
The Pink Moon is so named because of the pink flower known as Phlox subulata—also called moss pink or moss phlox—that blooms throughout April.
Some Native Americans alternatively named this the Sprouting Grass Moon, Fish Moon, Hare Moon and Egg Moon.
The next full moon is May's Flower Moon, which will take place on May 26.
