IT'S been ten years since Prince William married Kate Middleton at Westminster Abbey, watched by millions of people around world.

More than 5,000 street parties were held throughout the UK to celebrate and one million well wishers lined the route between Westminster Abbey and Buckingham Palace to catch a glimpse of the royal couple.

The pair had been together for eight years and had announced their engagement on November 16, 2010.

They have since had three children and completed countless royal engagements.

The BBc will celebrate the day The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge officially became a couple with an hour-long documentary, Royal Wedding: A Day to Remember, to be shown on Friday.

Royal fans across Sussex joined in Kate and William's celebrations with enthusiasm - red, white and blue bunting was draped across homes, shops and public buildings, flags were raised and the champagne flowed at street parties all over the county.
