A "DISGRUNTLED" customer chucked their Greggs steak bake at a member of staff because it "wasn't warm enough".

The pastry missed a worker at the Burgess Hill branch of the popular bakery.

It is understood that no one was injured during the row at about 9.40am today.

A police officer said the customer flew into a rage over the temperature of their meaty meal.

Sussex Police are looking for witnesses to the bizarre incident.

Writing on Twitter, Inspector Darren Taylor said: "It is appeal time!

"Did you happen to be in Greggs bakery, Burgess Hill this morning at 09.40 hours?

"A disgruntled customer threw their steak bake at a staff member because it was not warm enough.

"Thankfully it missed and hit the wall instead."
