A RESTAURANT has reopened its outdoor seating area for reservations ahead of a summer of 1960s-themed entertainment and a new menu.
The Ivy in The Lanes is now taking bookings for al fresco dining outside its colourful restaurant in Ship Street.
The brasserie is preparing to celebrate freedom from lockdown and its full reopening on May 17 - and has planned a 1960s themed "Summer of Love", with performances from live DJs and other entertainment from May onwards.
DJs will be playing 1960s-inspired beats throughout each week and there will be new and refreshing cocktails, plus a new all-day dining menu with a selection of summer dishes to be enjoyed both inside and outdoors.
Dishes include tempura prawns with salt and pepper squid, Peruvian chicken with an avocado salad and jalapeño sauce, and a rum baba dessert, featuring plantation rum-soaked sponge with Chantilly cream and mouth-watering raspberries.
Four new tipples have been added to the "Summer of Love" cocktail menu: In The Groove, Flower Power, I’m Only Dreaming and the Swinging Spritz.
The restaurant's afternoon tea will also be back on the menu.
