A FLASHER appeared in court after he exposed himself to a woman.

Craig Ray Standing revealed his genitals to the victim in Brighton.

The woman, who cannot be identified for legal reasons, was caused alarm or distress by the incident.

Brighton Magistrates’ Court heard how the 31-year-old committed the crime in November last year.

Standing was given a 15-week suspended prison sentence over the incident.

He was represented by lawyer Linda Haycock during the hearing earlier this month.

Magistrate Alison Musker ordered him to complete 100 hours of unpaid work.

He must also complete 35 sessions with the Horizon programme for sex offenders, and 25 rehabilitation sessions with the probation service.

Ms Musker put him under a restraining order not to contact three people or go to an address in Brighton, an order which will last until 2024.

Standing, of Old Farm Road, Brighton, was ordered to pay a £128 surcharge and £85 costs, and was told to sign he must comply with a notification requirement to inform police of his whereabouts on the sex offenders register for seven years.
