A WOMAN is confirmed to have died after reports of someone 'falling from a cliff'.
Police were called yesterday afternoon after reports that a woman fallen from cliffs near Beachy Head.
Coastguard teams from Eastbourne also attended the incident, as well as Eastbourne RNLI Lifeboat crew and a Coastguard Rescue Helicopter from Lydd in Kent.
Sussex Police said in a statement: "Police responded to a report that a woman fell from a cliff near Beachy Head, Eastbourne at 5.27pm on Friday.
"Officers attended and sadly it was confirmed that the woman had died.
"The death is not being treated as suspicious and the Coroner's Officer has been informed."
