BRIGHTON and Hove is set for a week of rainy weather as the county emerges from lockdown.
The Met Office predicts rain every day this week, apart from tomorrow, as restrictions are eased to allow people to go indoors at pubs, restaurants, and cafes.
The city experienced heavy rain today and further showers are expected from 8pm.
The first half of May has seen 77 per cent of the average rainfall for the entire month.
Here is this week's prediction according to the Met Office:
Today: Heavy rain
Tomorrow: Sunny intervals changing to overcast by late morning
Wednesday: Light showers changing to cloudy by late morning
Thursday: Cloudy changing to light rain by early evening
Friday: Cloudy changing to light showers by late morning
Saturday: Light rain changing to clear by nighttime
Sunday: Sunny changing to light showers by lunchtime
A Met Office spokesman said: "Unsettled conditions continuing, with scattered showers again developing across most areas.
"These showers are likely to be heavy at times, with thunderstorms possible in places.
"On Friday and possibly into the weekend, more prolonged spells of rain are likely at times, especially in the west.
"Into next week, there is a chance of more settled conditions to gradually become established.
"While further rain and showers are possible, overall drier and brighter conditions should become more dominant."
