A DRAG queen who has received daily death threats is determined to stand up to hatred and is promoting inclusivity through storytelling.

Sab Samuel, also known as Aida H Dee, is set to visit St Marks CoE Primary School in Brighton tomorrow for a special storytime session as part of Brighton Festival.

Pupils are encouraged to "dress to express" and stories will celebrate themes of diversity and difference.

Aida has recently published a children's book for the first time with trans, non-binary, and gay characters at the core of the story.

The Three Goats United tells the story of three goats which have to work together to beat a bully wolf.

Sab said: "I love what I do, and I wouldn't change how my life has turned out one single bit.

"It is so important to encourage literature across all ages, and why not spread a message of acceptance whilst doing that.

"In August last year I got a death threat every day because of what I do.

"The hate I get inspires me to fight harder for the young queer people who deserve a role model to look up to."

Sab is the founder of Drag Queen Story Hour UK, a community initiative which works with businesses and charities, as well as schools, to spread positive messages of acceptance through readings.
