POLICE are responding to an aggravated burglary in a residential street.
Sussex Police were called to a house in Coleridge Street, Hove, shortly before 4pm this afternoon.
A man has "sustained a minor injury", a spokesman for the force said.
Four police cars are parked in the street as officers conduct door-to-door inquiries.
A spokesman for Sussex Polcie:"We received a report of an aggravated burglary at an address in Coleridge Street, Hove, about 3.44pm.
"Officers swiftly responded to the scene, where a man had sustained a minor injury.
"The scene has been secured and enquiries are ongoing.
"This is believed to be an isolated incident involving parties known to each other, with no risk to the wider community."
