POLICE are seeking this man in connection with the murder of a 24-year-old in the city centre - with the crime still unsolved almost 18 months on.

The body of Billy Henham was discovered at a disused building in North Street, Brighton, on January 2, 2020.

A murder investigation was launched with his family making an emotional plea for justice earlier this year.

Detectives are now appealing for help finding Dushane Meikle.

An image has been released of the 27-year-old who is from Hove and has links to both Brighton and London.

Members of the public have been urged not approach him but to contact police instead.

Detective Superintendent Alex Geldart said: "We are urging anyone who sees Dushane Meikle or has information on his whereabouts to dial 999 immediately.

"Please do not approach him."

Police launched a murder investigation and closed off the area for several days in the wake of the incident.

In January, Billy's heartbroken family made a plea for witnesses to come forward, a year on from his death.

His family said they cannot understand why someone would have killed the gentle and kind student from Henfield.

DS Geldart previously said Billy "tragically died" of injuries following an assault.

The investigation has already seen detectives arrest four men, a teenage boy and a woman on suspicion of murder.

All six were later released as investigations continue.

Officers said they were taking no further action against one of the men, aged 19, and the 24-year-old woman.

Anyone with information which could aid the investigation is urged to report this online or call 101 quoting Operation Gatling.
