HARRY STYLES sent his fan into a frenzy after he was pictured swimming shirtless for his new movie.

The popstar braved freezing sea temperatures to shoot a scene for his new film My Policeman, which is being produced in Brighton.

Harry, 27, covered up his tattooed torso with make-up but some eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice that the choppy waters had started to wash some of it away.

Writing on Twitter, one fan said: “OMG the make-up on his stomach began fading so you can see part of his butterfly tattoo hahahah.”

The star could be seen smiling after he emerged from the water after his 15-minute swim, surrounded by crew wearing wetsuits.

Pictures of Harry’s plunge sent his fans pulses racing, with one writing: “Omg Harry is soooooo gorgeous.”

Another added: “These pictures are just too much.”

Harry was then seen wrapping up in dry robe coat and towels he attempted to warm up and dry off following the cold scenes.

Linus Roache, who plays an older version of Harry's character Tom in the film, was also spotted on set.

It is understood that the actors were recreating the same moment in the water, as the Homeland star was also seen emerging from the water wrapped in a heavy coat.

My Policeman is set largely in Brighton and Hove, but locations in Worthing and Newhaven have also been used for filming.

Earlier this week, Filming took place on Longridge Avenue, Saltdean, which had been transformed to look like Peacehaven in the mid-1990s.

Gina McKee, who played Jackie Laverty in BBC drama Line of Duty was seen filming a scene alongside Linus and Rupert Everett.

My Policeman is based on Brighton Bethan Roberts’s 2012 novel of the same name.

Harry will play Tom, the police officer of the title and Emma Corrin, star of The Crown, will play Harry’s on-screen wife Marion.
