A MAN has been found dead at the base of some cliffs.
Police were called yesterday morning to carry out a search following concerns for a man's welfare.
Coastguard teams and volunteer crews from Eastbourne RNLI also assisted, with an Inshore Lifeboat launched.
A man's body was found at the base of cliffs in Eastbourne.
Sussex Police said: "Police were called around 11.20am on Monday due to concerns for the welfare of a man.
"Officers carried out a search, assisted by HM Coastguard, and a body was sadly found at the base of cliffs in Eastbourne.
"There are no suspicious circumstances and the coroner’s officer has been informed."
