THE RANGE has given its customers a first look inside their huge new Sussex store.

The superstore is set to open its new branch in The Drove, Newhaven at 9am on Friday, June 4.

Painting, sign hanging, stock unloading, and till training has been taking place at the new site to prepare customers and staff ahead of the launch.

The new store, which is spread over 2 floors, will employ 80 members of staff in part-time and full-time roles.

A photo taken from inside the shop shows pristine aisles filled to the brim with a wide-range of items ahead of the grand opening.

A spokesman for The Range said the store will provide “great value products” in departments such as home décor and furniture, alongside everyday essentials from Pet care and DIY to health products and cleaning supplies.

There will also be an Iceland and outdoor garden centre at the site and customers will be able to enjoy “exclusive offers” running in-store until June 20.

In line with current Government guidelines, the new store will have extra safety procedures in place to protect both staff and customers when it opens.

These include social distancing floor markers, sanitising stations at the store entrance and contactless payments where possible.

The Range will occupy the former Roche Diagnostics site, near the Lidl store in Drove Road, Newhaven.

Founded in 1989 in Plymouth, The Range is now the fastest growing retailer in the UK.

It has more than 185 stores across the UK, stocking some 65,000 products across 16 different departments.

A spokesman for The Range said: "Our ethos has always been to bring our customers great quality products at the most competitive prices, drawing together everything you need for a beautiful home."

The Range currently has Sussex sites in Eastbourne, Worthing, Chichester and Crawley.
