Officers from Sussex Police are searching an area in Chichester
POLICE are hunting a man seen with a suspected weapon in Chichester.
Officers from Sussex Police along with the NPAS helicopter are responding to a report of a man see with a weapon in the vicinity of Litten Gardens at 2pm.
People are urged to avoid the area, as police try to track down the man.
Officers are also working with schools in the area to take "safety precautions" while investigations continue.

A spokesman said: "We're working with partners including local schools to take safety precautions while we investigate this report.
"Thank you to the public for their patience and understanding while we carry out this work."
