A CAR was reportedly set on fire following a burglary in which a laptop and cash were stolen.
Police were called to Lime Close in Crawley on Tuesday after approximately five masked men were seen running from a property at about 3.45pm.
Officers said no-one was hurt in the burglary and a laptop and quantity of cash were taken.
The men were wearing hooded tops, face masks and gloves.
At about 11pm last night, police were alerted to a car on fire in the same street.
Officers say it was reported the fire was started deliberately by a man wearing a light-coloured hooded top and a face mask.
Police are investigating both incidents and are keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened, or who saw any suspicious behaviour in the area.
Information can be passed to police online or by calling 101, quoting Operation Spectacle.
