A TEENAGE boy suffered serious facial injuries as he was attacked in a supermarket car park.

Police are appealing for witnesses to the assault, which happened in the car park at the Sainsbury’s store in Worthing Road in Horsham on Wednesday evening.

Officers were called to the scene at about 7.20pm following reports of a group fight.

A 17-year-old boy suffered serious facial injuries and was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged.

The shop was open at the time and police believe a number of customers would have walked through the car park while the altercation was taking place.

Any witnesses are urged to contact police online or by calling 101 quoting serial 1382 of 26/05.
