A DRUNK man was found "sound asleep" in the middle of a road in the early hours of Saturday morning.
The man was spotted by a driver who saw a "set of legs" in the middle of the road, whilst travelling through Staplefield at 1.45am.
Officers from Sussex Police arrived to find the person fast asleep.
The team managed to get the sleepy individual home safe, once he had woken up.
Writing about the incident on Twitter, inspector Darren Taylor said: "Thankfully a driver was switched on when he saw a set of legs in the road at 1.45am yesterday whilst driving through Staplefield.
"Turned out to be a somewhat intoxicated male sound asleep in the road!
"Team managed to get the male home safe and sound once he had woken up."
