A DELIVERY driver has been reported by police after he was caught parking on the markings of a pedestrian crossing.
The van driver "thought it was a good idea" to stop on the zig-zag markings to make a delivery, police said.
After being caught red-handed by officers, the driver was then reported for the offence.
In a picture shared on Twitter, the white van can be seen to mount the curb on the crossing, which is marked with the "zig-zag" lines.

According to legislation, both yellow and white zig-zag road markings indicate that parking is not allowed.
Writing on Twitter, Sussex Roads Police said: "The driver of this delivery van decided it was a good idea to stop on the zig zag markings of a pedestrian crossing to make a delivery rather than finding a safe place to park.
"The driver was reported."
